Controller
Mort is the Controller at PICO where he is responsible for the operations of the Firm’s venture funds as well as monitoring its portfolio investments. Prior to joining PICO, Mort spent over a decade in the investment management industry, both in the U.S. and Israel. He was a member of the financial reporting group at D. E. Shaw & Co., as well as an auditor in the asset management group at Deloitte for several years. Mort began his career in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the New York State Office of the Attorney General.
Mort is a certified EMT and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business.
